Veeam 6.5 gặp lỗi 1920 khi reinstall hoặc new install

Nguyên nhân:
+ Sai username/password đăng nhập vào database cũ (đối với trường hợp reinstall)

Khắc phục:
Xem http://www.veeam.com/kb1059 và http://www.veeam.com/kb_articles.html/KB1443
Tạo 1 file txt có nội dung rồi save với extension là .sql

delete [dbo].[Catalog.SearchServerCreds]

thực hiện dòng lệnh (nếu PC đã  cài MS SQL 2008 trước đó)
sqlcmd -S PC\DATABASE_NAME -d VeeamBackup -i d:\script.sql -o d:\resetresult.txt

Nếu đã cài SQL Management Studio (thường không đi cùng MS SQL 2008/2008 R2 Express) thì thực hiện việc xoá bớt thông tin đăng nhập dư thừa (do quá trình uninstall trước đó không xoá hết) theo hướng dẫn tại http://virtuallyuncovered.wordpress.com/2012/10/30/veeam-backup-6-and-6-5-cannot-complete-login-due-to-an-incorrect-user-name-or-password/

1. Backup your Veeam DB
2. Open SQL Server Management Studio (I did this from a different server that already had it installed)
3.Connect to the SQL Express instance, in my case: SERVERNAME\VEEAMSQL2008R2
4. Expand Databases, VeeamBackup, Tables and locate the dbo.Hosts table
5. Right click and choose ‘edit top 200 rows’
6. Search out any duplicates (in my case there was one entry for each ESX host, one for the vCenter server and one for ‘This Server’ so no duplicates)
7. You may see a duplicate entry that relates to a previous version of VMware, if so right click the row and delete it.
8. Restart the Veeam Backup Services.

Deleting a database with sqlcmd

sqlcmd -s -q "DROP DATABASE "
OR
sqlcmd -s ./ -q "DROP DATABASE "

Examples:

sqlcmd -s dbserver -u username -p password -q "DROP DATABASE products"

sqlcmd -s localhost -q "DROP DATABASE products" 

sqlcmd -s ./MSSQLSERVER -q "DROP DATABASE products"  ----
Bổ sung sau khi cài Veeam 6.5 thì cần cài patch 1 và patch 3 (không có p2) theo thông tin tại
